Hello, my name is Graham, and I am John Perry's son. It is my sad duty to inform you that my father passed away on Sunday 2nd August. It has been several years since my father could see well enough to post here, but I know he was an active member and once considered many here to be his friends. Even toward the end he was determined to keep fishing, and was forced to cancel plans to fish some local lakes on Sunday.

With condolences, Graham.

So sorry to hear the sad news Graham, your dad John was a fantastic person and a
great barbel fisherman.

He has helped the site as a moderator since we started over ten years ago and will
be sadly missed.

Rest in peace John.

That is indeed sad, sad, news. I fished with John many times over the years and always enjoyed his company.

I arranged the purchase of his magnifying screen a few years ago, and left it in his local pub for collection when he returned from a holiday. He was a popular man it seemed when I dropped it off.

My sincerest condolences to all of his family.

Just logged in after being away for a while to read the sad news about John.

A cheeky chap with a wicked sense of humour, a damn good angler and nature loving person. His knowledge of trees was fantastic. He was a pleasure to know and although I haven't seen him for a quite a while, I will miss him very much.
