I was thinking of joining the goring angling club and fishing the Thames at goring just wondering has anybody fished this stretch and if so what is the barbel fishing like as I would like to fish the Thames

Match fished it quite a few times,can be a good stretch for roach and chub with the chance of a big perch.never seen any barbel come out in the matches I've fished but they must be in there.
Before the stretch starts there is a couple of swims on the green which are free fishing as far as I know.

Thank you for your information maybe I will have look else what're maybe joining reading and fishing the Thames on the reading ticket has anybody any info on that stretch please

Why not have a look at the Twyford and District ticket Mark, a decent stretch of the Thames on it.

Have you had much Experiance on this water tom also thinking of joining reading angling and try there stretch on the the thames
